Yesterday Belgium celebrated its 175th anniversary. At the same time it is crisising. Eric Hobsbawn has already announced in his historical Magnum Opus that Belgium in its present form will dissapear in 10-15 years... That will be 5 years from now.
A good time to go and see for my self! I'm spending the weekend in a romantic castle near Waterloo, in great company I might say. I'll bring an up-date of the surviving chances of the Vlaamingen (the Dutch speaking Belgians). Somehow I cannot imagine them dissappear or change...
